Brand new original VZ 58 piston
Piston for barrel lengths 300/390/410/473/486.
Made of stainless steel with more chrome, very durable and hard material.
The piston is used to transfer energy from the barrel to the bolt carrier, where it extends the recoil mechanism with a short stroke.
A faulty piston causes a number of seemingly unrelated causes.
The new piston is regularly circular around the circumference of the piston face with a perpendicular or concave face.
It must not be oval in the front, you can tell by letting it roll on something flat.
A non-round shaped piston head causes underblowing of gases taken from the barrel and poor reloading of the weapon, cartridges jamming in the breech or failure to reload the weapon.
The piston must be cleaned and oiled regularly.
